Summer Olympics

The Summer Olympics have proved to be full of suprises already with the 38 year old Alexander Vinokurov winning Gold in the Biking race. But perhaps the more suprising news was Michael Phelps competing in the swimming qualifier and placing 8th and last in the semifinals by beating another swimming only by .7seconds. This even though I and many others doubted he would win the gold medal, was very suprising to see him barely qualify to compete for the gold. The Olympics continue tonight at 7pm eastern standard time on nbc.

NBA 2k12

The video game NBA 2k12 is a must get. The graphics are amazing, every player looks just how they do in real life. But what sets it apart is how certain players do certain moves. If I click a certain button it will make the player do their signature shot. For instance, if I do it with Kobe he will do a fadeaway jump shot, for Lebron a simple hesitation and jump shot. The game has became far beyond realistic, its scary, my mom saw me playing once and thought it was a real basketball game. Point is if you haven't bought the game yet, you could wait for NBA 2k13 to come out in november but make sure you buy it because I've never played a more eye opening game.

Boston Celtics Sign Courtney Lee

The Boston Celtics just recently signed Courtney Lee (the 26 year old who had play his last couple of seasons in Houston) in a sign and trade for JaJuan Johnson, E'twaun Moore, Sean Williams, and a second round pick from Boston in the 2013 draft. The reason I love this trade is because assuming Avery Bradley will definitely be missing the first month or so of the 2012-13 season, Courtney Lee can start until Bradley is healthy, making the bench even deeper with Jason Terry, Courtney Lee, Jeff Green, and Chris Wilcox. All of those players were either injured or on another team during the 2011-12 season.

Where is Howard Going?

Dwight Howard
Dwight Howard has made all the front pages on sites like nba.com and espn.com. He was thought to be  going to the Brooklyn Nets to join resign players Deron Williams and Gerald Wallace, and newly signed free agent Joe Johnson. But as you might have guessed Howard changed his mind yet again. Now rumor is Howard will meet with the Lakers and maybe be involved in a three way trade that will send Bynum to Houston, Howard to L.A. and a hole lot of money and draft picks for Orlando.

Ray Allen's Decision

Talk about Ray Allen's decision has been tossed and turned into several assumptions. I'm here to set things straight. Ray Allen was not having fun with the Celtics for a few years. When his ankle injury picked up last season he became desperate of a ring. Once the season ended Ray Allen met with the Celtics, Heat, and Clippers. His thought of the Clippers being that team that could win him a Championship quickly faded as the Clippers signed Chauncey Billups and Jamal Crawford making his role on the team disappear. Left was only the Heat and Celtics making the Celtics the leaders in the race for Ray. The Celtics offered Ray twice as much money as the Heat did and the bigger role on the team. My thought is that when the Celtics signed Jason Terry and already having Avery Bradley Ray thought his talents would be more needed in South Beach.

The Latest Celtics Talk

Lately talk about the Celtics has revolved around their draft picks and the resigning of Kevin Garnett. Having Sullinger and Melo enforces hope that the Celtics will have several more years of competitive basketball. There is already Rondo and Bradley in the backcourt for years to come and now the the additions of solid big men, this team could be great through 2016.
